Default Sputtering

Can anyone help me... While keeping a steady speed at about 50 my truck starts sputtering/shaking. I cleaned my tb which was all gunked up which I was told to do but still shakes. It runs perfect doing anything but keeping that low1500-2000 steady rpms. I have edge evolution, roush CAI and a air aid tbs. any suggestions or help?

I had a similar problem and it was especially prevalent when it was wet outside. I just changed the fuel pump driver module and the problem has gone away. Granted, its only been a day but it seems that it was the problem. Take a look at yours and see if it is rotted anywhere. It is located underneath the spare tire on a frame cross member. I have an 06 and mine had 2 holes on the back. Just throwing out other options for you to look at since you already did things. Everyone usually suggests plugs/COP's though.

I'll take a look. Keep me posted on how your truck runs with that

yea that was definitely my problem...i drove for awhile today and had a noticeable power increase from before...it actually pulls hard in the upper rpms and that slipping feeling was nonexistant. as for sputtering in the wet...it snowed about 4 inches last night and it started no problem. i took it on a trail that wasnt plowed for about 10 miles and had no problems when i turned it off and back on again. works perfect now. im so glad. it feels like i dont even have the 35's now...well almost. haha.

yeah im having the same problem with my 07. sputters and bucks at about 45mph. and im feeling the power loss. ive herd sevral things like plugs and coil packs, and that fuel thing. could this also effect how the tranny shifts? because lately ive been getting some bad shift patterns

Logically, I think that it could affect the tranny. If the FPDM is telling your fuel pump it needs this amount of fuel but your motor is only getting half of that amount, you wont have the power and your tranny would then be affected by trying to shift to compensate. I am not a mechanic, but it makes sense to me when you think about it. I would first take a look at your fuel module and see if it is cracked or broken. If it is then you need to replace it anyways so if it fixes your problem then great. If it doesnt fix your problem, then you are back to square one but atleast have prevented another major problem down the road. Good luck.
