Question Spring Compressors /Adding Bilsteins

Hey guys I'm going to be redoing my whole front end soon just waiting on my tires. I'm installing bilstein 5100's and wanted to know if any of you have done it before? If so can I just use a normal spring compressor from a local auto parts store?
Any tricks to this or is it just straight forward lol

Thankyou in advance!

Mac

Did mine and had to do it at work with a wall mount spring compressor. You will not compress those springs with those cheap hand held spring compressors.

I've used spring compressors from advance auto and they worked just fine for me

I used 4 compressors (two sets) on each spring and, while they started to bend, they did work. Two cheap compressors are asking for injury.

I did the same as tcp2, bought a set from Advance Auto that ended up being really cheap and had to rent another set to get them compressed. Took at least an hour for me to get it compressed enough to install my new leveling strut.
