Default spring compressor

I'm thinking about just buying a spring compressor set. The set I rented from AutoZone last time didn't exactly fit over the spring all that well. I'd like to get one's designed for our bigger spring.
Any thought's on which set is best?
Thanks.

I had the same issue. I rented one from advance and it didn't fit that great. I had to take the struts to sears to have them compress them for me. I would suggest a wall mount strut compressor if you can afford it!

yea a wall mounted one would be best. most shops i know if you take it there and ask nicely they can take it apart for you for a small fee or free as they know how dangerous it is.

Well right now I need to transfer my factory springs over, so that is 4 times right there. Then every couple years, or till struts are redesigned.
Once safely is worth it to me, and they're only around $50.
