Default spindle nut

I am having my rotors turned to get a slight warp out that is causing a little shake when I apply the brakes.
My question; Is it really necessary to replace the spindle nuts (that hold the rotor assembly on the spindle on 2 WD) each time? I understand the torque to yield on bolts, which stretch, and wouldn't want to risk reusing them, but at $20 per nut, not sure why I couldn't put a drop of locktight on them and torque to 200+. They aren't going to back off with the cotter key holding them in place.
Have any of you reused yours??

I replace mine when I upgraded to the two piece Centric Hub/Rotor Kit. The nut is a nylock type nut and I wouldn't recommend reusing the old one. Does loctight even work on nylon? However the thought did cross my mind since as you noted it's not coming off with a cotter pin in the spindle.

Torqued tight with locktight and the carter key, I don't see it coming off. I read dozens of post, and it of course is divided. Just because Ford puts REPLACE does not make it "true", and I think it is proably another money maker, since the part is crazy high.
All that being said, I will proably go ahead and replace mine, since, with new brakes, I HOPE I don't have to pull them back off for 2-3 years.
I'm caught in a time pinch now, but next time, I will find some of those $10 nuts
