Angry Speed limiter?

How do I figure out if my 2007 F150 has a speed limiter? If it does how do I set it for lower speed (70-75mph)? If it doesn't can I add one, or something to limit the speed it goes? I have a 21 year old son who thinks he is a nascar racer or something.

Never do this...don't even CONSIDER it! What if in an emergency situation he needed to punch it, needed the speed to SAVE his life? And yes, they have a 'governor' set to 96 mph.

That is what an ambulance is for. I am more concerned with, if lucky my son getting a ticket he can't afford, getting the truck towed, or at worse killing someone or his self from driving over 100 mph trying to stay in front of everyone.

You can try programming via the OBDII port. You should be able to set the speed limit with a tuner. Contact SCT, explain your situation, and they will sell you the right product.

I cannot think of any situation where someone would need to go over 70/75 MPH to save their own life and actually be capable of driving at such speed.

This was a bit of dramatized.

I think it would be safer for the kid and everyone around him to have some form of limiter.
