So I ordered all my Speakers and they came in the mail today.. Got an amazing deal $124.00 for 2 KICKER DS68.2 Component speakers for my front doors and 2 KICKER DS68's for my back Doors. They are brand new and I couldnt believe the deal i got on them. So here is the question is there a STICKY or thread on removing the door panels front and rear? Ive been trying to search but cant find anything... (my iPhone doesnt like searching) Thanks in advance.

 

On 04+ trucks the speaker has a screen that pops right off then theres 4 6mm bolts holding the speakers in, pop the factory plug off the old speaker, cut the plug off, strip the wires and get your new connectors on and crimp them tight and put them back in and your good to go. Now if you have a 03 and older you do have to take the door off and its easy to. The control panal for windows pops up, the door sil that runs up pops off, and the door handle bracket will come apart and theres like 6 bolts the hold way around, take them all out and give it a pop on the bottom and it slides right off.

 

On the 04 and up is there a tweeter mounted higher up in the door? I also have to mount the component system in the door so im thinking the whole door must come off. Also is the back the same? fyi my truck is an 07 XLT SCREW that did not have the factory sub in it.

 

 

Any luck on a thread about removing the entire door panel? I just don't want to break any clips.

Not sure what cab you have - the rear instructions are for a supercab.

Yes there is a tweeter that sits up by the door handle.. The whole door panel needs to come off.. I will try to find the thread for you..
