Default Spark plugs

I just started experiencing problems out of my 2005 F150. It started jerking going up hills, and last week it started bogging down bad when I hit the gas and the a/c turns to hot air. Any suggestions?

Since the A/C blows hot I would look for a vacuum leak first off. Fix that then look into the other problem.

The AC cuts off (compressor) when the PCM (powertrain control module) detects a heavy load on the engine, such as hard acceleration (or in your words, "hit the gas"), or towing up on an incline. This is normal.

As to your "bogging", there are many posts on this topic, some have come up as recent as a day or so ago. If your not experiencing any codes (check engine light not on), then it could be a dirty throttle body. Do a search on "throttle body" as there are many posts on how you can clean the back plate of carbon to help poor excelleration problems (if this is found to be your problem).

How many miles are on the spark plugs? Do you have a 5.4 V8? If so, you may be due for a spark plug change, and it's not a pleasurable thing on the early 5.4's. Read the spark plug sticky at the top of this forum, then perhaps start drinking heavily (but then don't drive please). If you're not mechanically inclined, or don't have the specialty tools to handle broken plugs when they are attempted to be removed, then be prepaired to shell out some serious money to replace the plugs.

By your post count I see you're new, so you may not be aware of the dreaded spark plug issue with early 5.4's.

In any case, Welcome aboard, and good luck!

Thank y'all I'll try all what y'all have said. Especially the drinking bc I don't know much about this truck just oil and tires.
