I was concerned about the plugs, and so with my '08 truck at 84,000km (52,500 miles) on it, I decided I wasn't going to wait. Took it to my mechanic (not dealership) and had them done. Happy to say that they all came out no problem. Replaced them with Champion double platinums. I'm good for another 100,000km or 60,000 miles. I'm happy!!! Still costly though. $460 taxes included, but much better than what the dealership would have charged, especially if any broke.

I did mine last weekend and it had 98,800 miles on original plugs. I used the impact method and didn't have a single problem. I think it took me longer to get everything out of the way and the dirt and crud off the covers than it did to change the actual plugs. I did it when the engine was warm. I would do it again without hesitating!
