so i ran into another problem... i took it to advance auto parts so they can read the the code. I do have the emissions light on, so it should be able to pull codes. Unfortunately when they attempted it said something was disconnected and it couldnt read the computer. Just great news for me. Does neone have ne idea what i can possibly do now

go to a different store..sounds like their scanner (or operator) wasn't working properly.

ok u guys r the best! i took it to another store and they read the codes... misfire in cylinder 1... The guy said its most likely the coil. So ummm.... what now?

Change the coil on #1. If that doesn't work...time for plugs

if you want to be 100% sure, swap #1 with #2. lucky for you your working right at the front of the engine and they're easy to access there. drive it back and have them test the code again. see if went with the coil.

yea you're telling me. I'm slowly making my way changing my plugs. I've done 3 now and they all broke. but I'm much faster. last one took about 20 minutes including extraction. it will get longer as I work deeper under the firewall.

changed the coil... truck runs like new!!!! im sooo happy!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!!
