Default Spark plug FUN!

Hey all-
My 05 F150 was stumbling and throwing the engine light, so I pulled into an auto zone, and they read the codes. Misfire in #6, they said. With 73K miles, I decided on buying new plugs. One look under the hood, (I did not see any plugs) told me I needed help. I called the stealer, and they said the plugs were 48.99 each! I had just paid 11.99 ea, for Autolites. I am going to take it to my independent mechanic on Tuesday. This really bugs me, my last Ford was a 95, with a 4.9 straight six and a straight drive. I could change those plugs with my eyes closed, and about $3 each. So much for progress. I would like to meet the idiot that thought of these new plugs.

Motorcrafts should only run you $7-8 a pop. Make sure your mechanic has the plug extraction tool and has changed out 3 valve 2 piece plugs before.

Wait was that 48.99 per plug to buy,or per plug along with extraction and install with new?The plugs were made for a better burn to actually get decent miliage.I did my plugs myself with one piece brisk plugs and love it.Let us know how it goes, and yes like the guy above me,make sure your guy has the rotunda extraction tool, complete kit i might add.
