Which one isnt a wise decision? Spraying the entire MAF sensor with electrical cleaner, because I have read in the "How to sections" the right ups using Electrical connection cleaner, pretty much the same thing as MAF cleaner? I have read and understood that Spray the whole sensor just dont touch any of the wires, which i cant really do cause its all enclosed. or not changing my gearing?

I am really trying not to venture to far off the topic here about why I am suddenly losing take off power.

I've already told you what's wrong here, and everyone else will agree with me. If you are running stock 3.73 gears the transmission and engine have to work twice as hard to turn those big ol ****ers you slapped on there. Just hit up the search button and look into gears, and see what everyone else is saying. I can almost guarantee you that everyone else is experiencing the "performance" issues you are talking about, and why it seems slow from take off.

This along with a custom tune will make you're truck as good as new. I've basically spoon fed the answers to you, but next time try a search.

Also how long have you been running a CAI without a custom tune on your 04? This causes a lean condition which would also hinder performance, and ultimately **** up your engines cylinders and pistons to a new level of messed up. You have to remember fuel is just as much of a lubricant as oil.

Been Running the CAI ever since i bought the truck at 25K miles. The truck had no problem with acceleration up till about 6K miles ago (now have 68K, which really isnt that much) The only thing I have done to my truck since i bought it is maintenance. LIke I said before it still has get up and go, just not like it use to be.
OK I understand that I should be changing my gears and it will help out BUT THATS NOT the answer to my troubles here AND MY original question on this thread was if i possibly messed something up when cleaning my MAF and throttle body! I would say gears are the solution if over the years and miles it slowly starts loosing power but in the last 6k miles or so acceleration has deteriorated, just doesnt seem right. MAYBE ITS JUST A COINCIDENCE that after cleaning those things I am noticing this!?!?
Remember I am saving up for this GRyphon tuner with custom tunes ($500) and you recommending changing gears as a fix all ($2,000). I swing a hammer for a living not a Doctor or a Lawyer, dont have a money tree in my backyard.
Probable will get the tuner this month. Dont think gears will be in my budget in the near future.

proper gearing is probably one of the most important aspects of performance that is most often overlooked after going up in tire size. re-gearing to a proper gear ratio to match that size tire will gain your performance back and you will likely see a gain in mileage as well.

Yes but you have enough to pay for stupid a 6" lift and 35" tires? I'm not trying to attack you man, all I'm trying to do is help you. You wanted an answer and I gave you one. Your gears are probably finally wearing down, and so are other functions. If your MAF was malfunctioning I'm 99% there would be a CEL involved. This would usually include lean banks on both sides of the engines or perhaps just one. If not then an O2 sensor would more than likely throw a code because the MAF wasn't doing it's job. A tuner will help out a lot, and will be your best bet of survival till you figure something out. I know I just sound like another idiot throwing the search button at you, but that's how I learned pretty much everything I know about these trucks. Also one last tip I would highly highly recommend you go back to a stock intake until you get a custom tune. I don't know how much damage is already done, but it can't be pretty...

Hey Kozal would you say that 4.56 gears are too much for 33s? Also if I've been reading right a 3.73 for a 33 is like a 4.10 for a 35 correct?

Uhh I honestly can't say because I'm not a huge tire fanatic. There could be something there, but I have no clue. Call around town and talk to some shop owners and see what they say about the situation. I do that once in awhile when I can't get a straight answer anywhere else.

I would think that 4.56's would be a bit overkill for 33's but I would go with at least 4.10's if not 4.56's with 35's.

NO I know your not trying to attack me but it just sucks that sh*ts gotta cost so much money sometimes. I bought the the truck with all the mods already on it and was super stoked about the mods because that meant I didnt have to dish out anymore money. And lately been reading about a CAI being a bad idea with a tuner Why the didnt I know about this before. Just frustrating. BUt I just ordered the gryphon tuner.

And YES I will be saving for gears now. SOOOO 4;56 gears will do what for my mileage and performance?? 4;56 gears are the best for my set up???
