Default Slipping at cold take off.

When I take off it acts as though it's in neutral. I usually ease off and it finds it's way back into gear. It feels as though it pops out of drive, then gently goes back into drive. I've read some other posts about rear end issues with the limited slip, slipping. It sounds like a similar issue but mine completely goes away after a few minuets of driving. Any ideas?

Having the same problem with my '07 5.4L FX2 ever since the weather cooled off from 90s to 70s during the day. Goes into reverse fine, but takes about 5 sec to go into drive then is crawls while the engine revs. Once warmed up it's not as bad and taking it out of OD helps with the flare at 20mph. Going to start another thread about it.
