i bought the 3" suspension lift kit which is the struct/spring combo with the add a leaf for 2wd on my 2005 xlt. When they went to put in the add a leaf it the u bolts wouldn't fit and couldn't be put on. Also, the control arm is hitting the spring in the front therefore I can't align it.

Two questions:
- why wouldn't the add a leaf work if its made to work on this truck (it also came off the same type of truck)

- do they make longer control arms so this hitting doesn't happen
