I was thinking about removing the outer shell of the two part chrome handles and just leaving the chrome on the handle part. Any ideas? And if I should remove, does anyone know how to remove the 3m adhesive tape from plastic? Thanks for the input.

 

Not sure how, but I think it would look sweet with chrome handles and black surrounds.

 

personally I would level, remove all chrome on the handles and leave the rims and steps. I think that would look pretty sick

 

Peel of the crome surrounds and clean with a solvent. I painted to match the plastic crome surrounds on mine. check out my album
