Default Should I lift 'er

So here is my truck as it sits, she's a 2004 XLT 2wd Supercab. I am debating wether I should lift it or not. (And no a 4x4 is not in the budget) I came here to get your opinions on what I should do, Towing and hauling is always a possibility. (ATV's, mulch etc.) Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Personally, I wouldn't lift a 2wd.

I have an 04 XLT 5.4 scab as well. 2.5 level. Looking into rims to stick out just s little and maybe some 33"-34" tires. Love it.

Wow, that is one solid looking truck! Are you looking to the sky when you tow or haul though? Thats the only thing I am worried about with the level, some people seem to swear by it.

I hauled a ton(literally) of rock and the back end sagged bad. I had over 110k though, some newer leafs would have made a difference but not much. But as far as having a level and towing/hauling I think helper air bags or an add a leaf in the mix will be the only way to be level and tow/haul without bustin a sag too bad. Helping friends move, loading up the bed with regular home items doesn't make a difference but mulch and stuff would show a bit depending on how much you load up.

You could always just level it. That will really change the look of the truck. Are you planning on the whole package? Wheels, tires, lift all in one? At the end of the day it's your money. They make lift kits for 2wd trucks for a reason. If you wanna lift it, lift it!

Eventually yes I want to upgrade the whole shebang. And you're right, it is my money. My plans are after these upgrades to start saving up for a brand new F150. It is going to be a while before I can afford that so I want to ride in style in the mean time!

If you won't keep the truck for a long time, i would save the money, get a leveling kit and bigger tires and as soon as i can afford the new truck, lift that one.
This is a hell of a truck and you'll always ride in style

I've got nearly the same problem. I wanted to lift my truck but the authorities won't let me do that, so i bought a 2,5" front leveling kit which i'll put in soon and save money for bigger tires. But i'm not towing heavy loads...

Thats just the way I would do it.

At the end of the day you are the one that really knows what you want and can do. What I mean is that you have to look at what you REALLY want. My last truck I knew that I was not going to keep forever but Like you, I didn't want to roll in a stock truck. So I put the money in and got it the way I wanted it and loved it. I ended up trading it in for a new F150 that came in at work with a 100,000 miles less. Was going to keep my last one a little longer but the truck and deal was WAY to good to pass up. This truck I plain on having for a long time. So I am fixing this one up. Was it a waste? To me no and that's what you need to figure out.
