Default Should I do 35s?

Hey guys I got a 2005 f150 I bought it with a leveling kit on it have no idea what size it also has blocks in the rear. I am due for tires and gonna get them in a month or so and was thinking about getting a set of 35s on stock 17inch wheels. I don't know if it's a good idea or not and will I have to do anything to the truck for them besides trimming? I love the look of 35s on these trucks just want others opinions on it thanks guys

Mine has a leveling kit and I had 285/70/17's on it which is about 33' tires. They were about as big as I dared go. I didn't care for the floating feel of them and went back down 2 sizes to 265's or 31.5's.

It was just me and the way the truck felt but the larger tires looked good. There is a thread on here that tells you what height tire you can fit with what lift/leveling kit, look above this thread in this section and you will see it.

I have 285s on now I wanna go a bit bigger but I feel you on the floating feeling as these wore out they got worse but they wore really bad and not straight.

35's? What rear gearing are you using?

Be prepared to complain about your fuel mileage going south drastically. And if your suspension has any age to it, be prepared to do some parts replacement as well.

And loss of power... unless you re-gear.

I have 35s on my '04... I love em! They do feel a little "floaty" at times...(could be because of the Mud Terrains) but I don't feel out of control at all. I have a 3" Leveling Kit on the front and 2" blocks on the rear... as stated... you will likely replace suspension parts... I have all new ball joints in the front of mine, but they were needing replaced anyways. I did do some MINOR trimming, just for some extra clearance, but again it was VERY MINOR! I haven't had a drastic loss of power...mine still feels responsive and peppy... I am going to be adding a programmer in the next month or so, so that will just add to the power... I say go for the 35s!!!

Heres Mine

Hopefully you don't have to replace the front suspension again in 6months again.
