Default Short to Long?

Would you be able to put a long bed in the place of a short bed? or is the frame longer and everything that goes with it? but would it be possible or a waste of time?

waste of time. the frames are different lengths. not to mention the gas cap/pipes, the driveshaft, all your rear suspension. if you want a longer bed, buy a new truck
