2004-2008 Ford F150 4wd - Bilstein 5100 Series Leveling Strut / Shock (Adjustable 0" to 2" FRONT Lift)

I would go with these too. I know a few guys that are running them, and they love them.

in about 2 weeks im putting a leveling kit on the front so would it defeat the purpose of the leveling shocks ? and monroe makes a rear shock that has a small coilover spring on it made for trucks, helps keep truck level with a load or pulling a trailer. im just wondering if it would make the truck ride hard in the rear with those.

I just put on a set of Monroe Reflex about 2,000-3,000 miles ago. Worth every penny if you ask me replacing the dinky ford shocks. Truck deff rides better esp when towing/hauling. Great shock for the money

Oh yah, I put on a 2.5inch HBS leveling Kit shortly after shocks as is well and good.

i installed some monroe reflex in my old montero sport... i remember that with 20k miles on it, those shocks needed replacement... and i didnt tow nothing but a motorcycle a couple times a year, or a jetski a couple times a month.

I ordered a pair of the Bilstein 5100's. I've heard many many fantastic reviews about them over the forum, and I want to level my truck anyways. So this seemed lik the way to go. If you want them and are still doing your leveling kit, you can always set the shocks to 0 lift. Just an idea. The Monroes look pretty good too, I just haven't heard anything about them. Ever..

They make 5100s for the rear as well. Which is what I went with. They don't provide any lift like the fronts, but will accomodate for 1" of lift (such as an aal)

EDIT: bilstein does make a heavier duty rear shock as well. But I'm not sure what the number is. Or if mixing up different shocks front and rear is a good idea. Just thought I'd let you know about the heavier ones for the rear.
