Default shock replacement

I have an 04 fx4 with 2.5 leveling kit with 35's and im needing to replacement my shocks in a bad kind of a way. Just wondering what shocks are the best and what will give me the same ride height so I can either remove leveling kit or keep it but have got to have room for my tires. Thanks

I'm currently looking at the Bilstein 5100's because I also need shocks and want to level it all in one. From what I've read you can get up to 2.25 inches of lift at their highest setting.

So with the 5100 I can take my leveling kit off and still fit my 35s?

That's a good question, I have 275/60 20 which I believe are 33's and no leveling kit yet with no rubs. I can't see how .25 of an inch would make that big of a difference over your current leveling kit. I figure if I'm going to go through the trouble of having the shocks out to do a leveling kit then I'm just going to do the bilsteins. Bet you can always sell your current leveling kit for some extra $.

There is a leveling kit thread in here somewhere you can search and take a look and see what the members have.
