yes firmness can be changed with gryphon, i plan on going pretty big with power thats why i want a bullet proof trany, i have a 6in lift with 35s an 4.56 gears, i am going to be dropping a whipple in with forged pistons ported an polished heads so looking at around 500+ HP an 575 torque, now our stock tranys the 4r75e are rated to 750 ft pounds of torque, but considering a complete stock motor dosnt even hit 300ft pounds of torque i am skeptical of how a stock trany would hold up to this power. therefor a valve body from troyer sounds nice but i am also still looking to the the trany built to handle the power

Ahh kinda odd that their page would suggest it for the 4r75-e tranny but someone at troyer post on a forum that they don't recommend it.

i dont think they aren't recommending it but they are saying its not necessary, i have been told when troyer made it they recommended it for the 4r70 trany because that thing had to many flaws to count, but then when the 4r75e trany came into production it just so happened that the valve body would fit in it to so they advertise it for the 4r75 as well.

if your going big horsepower then yea get a built tranny. 500+ is alot to ask out of these trucks especially running 35's. not saying dont do it but thats alot of power and running gear.
