Shaking at idle?
Just replaced my plugs on my truck. They where originals and where pretty worn. Replaced with new ones. Before the change it would idle and shake so bad that it would move the steering wheel back and forth. No codes for it though. Now after the swap it seems to still do it although not as bad. I also have knocking cam phasers so could that make the idle shake because the timing is off? I did a power balance test and cylinder 4 was low about 20 rpm and cylinder 2 was low 10 rpm. I replaced the #4 coil but still seems to do it. Dad's f-250 idles smooth but you could feel when it's idling. Any suggestions? I mixed up the coils when replacing #4. Maybe the bad one got swapped onto a different cylinder?

Did you torque them in ? Start them carefully by hand ?
Did you attempt to clean carbon out of holes before possibly damaging a new plug .
Did you see the ford tsb on the updated plugs and use nickle anti sieze . Did you use dielectric grease on new boots . Did you clean the tips of coils and use new springs . Did you clean out holes real good before pulling plugs .
You may have to clean maf and throttle body also .
Good luck with it .
