Has anybody tried seafoam to quiet a noisy lifter on a 4.6?

 

I have used sea foam on my '03 4.6, but not for that reason. It did quiet the engine down for a while, but after time the engine noise came back. I think that any lubricity you may gain on your lifters eventually disintegrates.
