Has anybody ever dealt with Mike at morepowertuning.com? Or could any body tell me where the best place is to get one or who has the best tunes.

 

What is the difference between the x3 and the sf3?

 

Get the device where ever it is cheapest. Sometimes places like ebay or craigslist will have a used X3 for a decent price. I've never heard or dealt with MPT. Not saying don't try them, but if I'm getting my truck tuned, I would want someone with experience with F150's. VMP tuning, PHP, Troyer, and 5star all have experience in SCT and F150 tuning, and that's where most go to get email tunes.

SF3 comes with canned tunes and can accept custom tunes.
X3 only supports custom tunes.

 

Thanks for the info OTTO Ive found that $379 seems to be the magic price for a new sct at all the places Ive looked. Still doing research.

 

We are new to the F150forum but not new to tuning. I worked at SCT for 6 years and was responsible for developing and teaching the "SCTU Online Training Program" which is how SCT Dealer learn to tune. I would recommend checking out our reviews on facebook, morepowertuning.com, ebay and amazon.

The only difference between the SF3 and X3 is that the SF3 includes the preloaded SCT tunes. All other features are the same.

 

Torrie at unleashedtuning.com. I paid 399 for tuner and 3 custom tunes. Check around this forum, I believe he has the best numbers right now and the best customer service I've ever had. Been dealing with him for a few years now.
