SCT or Edge?
Before I spend a lot of money on a tuner I need some advice, I really want an SCT livewire due to the touch screen and the option of getting custom tunes, I would of gotten an edge cts but php doesn't do custom tunes on the cs/cts only the evo. The evo is cheaper and nice but I like the way the touch screen looks a lot more. How satisfied are you guys with the sct live wire?
I'm looking for the best performance, I need some more get up and go.
I need Someone to convince me to pull the trigger on a tuner!
Auto anything has it right now for 515 and that beats every other price

I guess what are your long term goals, and will the tuner you use support your device?
I have an SCT hand-held, my experience most shops use SCT. In fact, my truck is on the dyno this am getting wrapped up

I have a couple used SCT units in right now, unlocked SCT Livewire TS for $500 shipped ( only a month old, was a return from prior customer as he got rid of his truck after only having the tuner for two weeks ) or also a SCT SF3 3015 used for $275 shipped.
Just an option. :-)

Well the only reason I narrowed it down to edge evo and sct is bc eventually I'm gonna get custom tunes. Within the next 4 months, I'm going to regear and throw in a CAI so I'd like my truck to perform properly

Since you deal with sct a lot, do you think the livewire is for me? I can hang on to the canned tunes for a couple of months before I get custom tunes. I'm sure the canned tunes still offer a decent performance boost

If you want to monitor the engine, then the Livewire is great for that. The extra stuff, the 1/4 drag time, 0 to 60 foot times, stuff like that is kinda fun but once you've played with em for a while, don't really use on a regular basis.
Display on the Livewire is nice and crisp as well and ten or so different guage layout and setups you can adjust to what you want which is nice.
That being said, tuning wise, it makes no difference between the Livewire or SF3 as the tunes themselves, whether custom or preloaded, are the same regardless of which model you use to upload them to the truck from. By far the bulk of what we sell is the SF3 3015 just as it's the best bang for buck there is pretty much.
