Default "Safe Mode"

2005 F150 Lariat 5.4 Triton 4x4 75,000 miles....
Purchased this truck a couple months ago. Live in a cold climate (Denver). The first time it got cold this winter the truck went into "safe mode". Took it back to the dealer and they put in a new throttle body. Ran great until the next very cold day, and it went into safe mode after starting again. Took it back to the dealer and they couldn't find anything but lose connections which they fixed. Ran great for about a month. Now, in the middle of winter, almost every time I start the truck it goes into safe mode, I'll let it run for about ten minutes and then turn off and back on and it runs fine (with the check engine light on). I took the truck into Auto Zone to get the problem code, P2107 "throttle control system within ECM failed self test" probable cause, "open or short circuit" or "bad ECM". Has anyone had or seen this before? Please help me out here.

I would pull the negative battery terminal off overnight and then do a throttle body relearn in the morning to see if there is any change.

Thanks for the advice. I'll give that a try.
