Default Rusty fuel door fix!!! cheap and easy...

i noticed a few people have had some rust forming around your fuel door opening on your 1/4 panel and alot of you have been spending a couple hundred dollars to fix the problem. well i am an innovator so i did this little project check out the pics on my profile in my albums.

thats a pretty good idea, mine has a half-assed paint job that needs a permanent fix as well, aslo a new door assembly the damn thing flops around back there the hinge and crap is busted and i haven't found a new one yet.
how did you get that so perfectly round?

i had a plastic cereal bowl that fit the diameter size i was trying to mask off then i traced it on to the truck with a pencil and masked it with pin stripeing masking tape the thin stuff so it can be masked around curves and radius shapes.

just if anyone was wondering how this mod is holding up with the salt from this winter so far it still looks great and has not shown any signs of bubbleing or peeling. Its all about the prep before you paint if you have questions check out my profile albums.
