Hey guys I just bought a 2005 F150 XL with the 4.6l and 120k on it. Sometimes when driving or idling I'll here a rubbing/grinding sound. The dealership I got the truck from said because the truck has been sitting some rust collected on the plate next to the flywheel? and that is the sound I am hearing. If it keeps happening he said to comeback to get it looked at because I have a warranty. The shop is an hour drive and I wanted to get some second opinions before I go all the way back seeing how I have never heard of this problem before.

But if that is under your warranty i would definitely make the drive there if you do get it fixed... that stuff can get pricey.
