Default RPM drop HELP

I have an 07 F150 with the 5.4 engine it's has 258000 miles on it. Was driving about 30 and the RPM dropped from 1500 to 1000 then went back to 1500. Also started feeling almost like a small jerk when driving down the road when happened. Any ideas got this truck as a gift haven't even had it for a month and previous owner hasn't had this problem.

You can still get codes pulled with no CEL. As mentioned, when was the last tune-up of plugs, coils and fuel filter/system? When was the throttle body taken off and cleaned and MAF and cleaned? Most of that right there may cure it.
