04 5.6, 145,000 miles

Just changed 2 plugs and coils as indicated by scan. Also removed throttle body and cleaned, replaced tb gasket. Will not idle! runs like a scalded dog once you get it going. Dies when I come to a stop. Any ideas? Gonna get a scanner today. Truck is new to me. Ran fairly well when I bought it a month ago but after 2 weeks it got worse and worse till check light came on.

It could be a dirty maf sensor. Its in the intake. You just have to take 2 screws out pull it out spay it with. MAF sensor cleaner let it dry and put it back in.

 

umm..replace the other 6 plugs?

reminds me of the 2.3 liter inline the ranger has with eight plugs, a lot of people cant get to the rear plugs so only the front get changed.
