Rotors
I have been looking for rotors for my F150. 2008 2 wheel drive with one piece rotor/bearing assembly. Knowhere am I able to get a price on this type of rotor. I get prices for rotor only like for 4wheel drive or I get a code number with no price for a hub assembly. I want prices to determine whats the better and cost efficient way to go, one piece or two piece rotors. I need your help and is greatly appreciated. Time is ticking for my brakes.
Motorcraft $280 x ea
Napa about $180 x ea.
There is another company that sells just the rotor with no bearing in it for like $100 x ea but not sure of the brand. I remember we could get them from DSW so you could possibly talk to the dealership (parts dept.) about getting some for you have see if a tech would press the bearings in on the side or something. They can be machined also if where ever you take them to have the adaptor(not refering to the on car lathe). One dealer i worked for didnt have the bench lathe adaptor and one did. So i would call first.

x2.
i had no idea you could buy the rotor separate from the hub assembly. MotorCraft is alway my first choice, but i simply couldnt afford them. i put Duralast from Autozone on mine about 20k ago and have had no trouble since.
I had rear rotors turned at dealership, new duralast rotors in front, and duralast ceramics all the way around. total price was just under 400.
