Default Road Trip

I'm planning a road trip with some friends up to Richmond, Virginia this weekend. This is the first trip I've taken with the truck that was more than 100 miles at a time. Its nearly 1400 miles round trip. I'm wondering if you guys have any tips or suggestions for things I should check before hitting the road.

These are the things I just had done:
1: Oil Change
2: Alignment
3: New tires (only about 4k on them)

I checked all the fluids and I'll be checking the tire pressure tomorrow, too much rain today, but is there a certain PSI I should ride on. This trip is like 95% interstate.

Thanks.

i run my 275/65s at like 41-42PSI. they are load range C. they may be a bit too high (door sticker recommends 40) but i try to get a little better MPG.. make sure your spare tire is in good shape. as far as aired up and what not... other than that i would think your set.

Also make sure you have a wrench that can remove your lug nuts..........LOL...

I laugh, cuz sometimes I forget to take mine with me..... (aftermarket lug nuts) I really should just but another breaker bar and socket, but I usually just pull mine out of my toolbox if I'm going off-roading or on a long trip..

Thanks for the advice guys. Trip went well, no problems at all.

The reason I went to Richmond was for a soccer game. I'm starting to really get into the game, and our Orlando team was on the road in Richmond. So me and some friends thought it would be cool to road trip it up there. I thought Richmond was a decent town, but then again I was only there for half a day.

im from RVA. make sure you dont have a shake at high way speeds (wheels balanced) if you do youll regret not checking it out once you get on the road. i drove from stanford FL to fort lauterdale before balancing my tires and regretted it
