Yeh I had to look close to make sure it was the same color.

The previous owner painted the bottom of my truck tan and one day I would like to wet sand it off. He did it over the clear.

I like the all one color look. Then PTM everything and make an FX2 style truck.

But to each their own. truck looks nice either way.

Yeah my last truck was a white with Beige rockers so I painted those black and the bumpers black and it looked good.
I'm definately trying to go one color with this truck if not a black and grey mixture

Last year I did my rocker panels and just last month I did my bumpers. Its not rino liner but raptor liner. Also did it to my dodge ram and its still looks good 6 years later. It really has not faded and keeps the rocks off.

Anyone else whose done this see any cons in doing this or pros?
It will look very agricultural, it will scratch everything that comes close to it. And it won't look right with the rest of the smooth panels and paint on the truck.

I'd just black out the plastics again and plastic dip the lower part of the truck to protect the paint (this was plastic dip initial purpose) .

I wound disagree on 2 points... 1 I get all kinds of people asken what I used on the bottom of my truck and how it sets the truck off. The chevy looks like they went too thick when they put it on but it still looks good just not the look I was going for...2 I have tried to tape off plastic dip and have had no Success it just sticks to the tape when you pull is.

Hey I got few tips that I have learned about doing this. I would use a spray over a roll on. Lots of guys have done this up here and you can tell the spray vs roll. you need access you a larger air compresser cus you need lots of air. You should do this outside and not near anything cus the spray goes all over. As with any thing prep is a must, get some good wax and grease remover and go over it. Take the back bumper off so you can get to where it wraps the bed. I Dont have a good way to get between the bed and cab mine didnt turn out the best but going to fix it some time. tape it off and then after some "this is it" thoughts, Use a green scrach pad and rough it up good and them clean it again with wax remover. It will not last if you skimp on the prep. get a big sheet of Plastic and cover the whole truck and tape it off. That stuff goes every where so if you dont want it sprayed cover it. But if you get some over spray on your paint like I did a clay bar should take it off. you can change how it looks by changing how you spray it. Spray it thick and close to get I look more like that chevy looks like, thin and farther out and you get more of a speckal look like mine. As for your bumpers I took them off the truck and took them apart. I just put black paint on the back side cus there was some serface rust. Then hung them and sprayed. I dont have flars but I would think you would want to spray they with a good primer first and then rough them up.

Its a kit that I got from napa auto prats its made my UPOL and comes with 4 bottles of base and a bottle of hardner and a spray gun for around 110 bucks might be a bit more cus I get a discount. Any ways I used one bottle per side then used one bottle over both to get the Texture I wanted. Then used the last bottle on the bumpers. You can save the base for later but if you mix the hardner in you better use it up. You can also reuse the gun but you have to clean it between bottles. Also I guess you can get dye to mix color in but I just like the black.
