Default Retune necessary?

06 XLT Supercrew 5.4 / 3.55 LS

Stock P255/65/R17 were replaced with Definity Dakota P265/70/R17 (~3000 mi on them).

Bought the truck with these non-stock tires. Is a retune necessary? I was considering getting a used programmer- but the only mods done is adding a K&N filter and eventually a gotts mod (if it can be done on this model). Someday down the line I'll get an aftermarket exhaust.

Also, I'm feeling some slight vibration between 40-60, peaking around 55- assuming it's a wheel balance / thrown weight issue.

edit:
I've read doing the Gotts / DWV intake mod on this motor is risky w/o a custom tune; however- I've also read conflicting reports that because it's before the MAF that there is no risk. If I do grab a 'Diablo' tuner from craigslist today; would the canned 87 octane tune be safe to run w/ the intake modded?
