Default Reprograming pcm

A friend of mine went to the Ford dealership and complained about the lack of throttle responce from his F-150. The dealership reprogramed his pcm and he said that it has made a world of difference. I was wondering if anyone else has had experiance with this?

Your computer over time will learn how you drive...All the dealer did was reset the computer so that now, he has a raw program. If he continues to drive aggressive, his throttle response will remain that way. If he starts to nurse it or let wifey drive it, the computer will once again learn that way and after another couple thousand mile he will probably be complaining about the lack of throttle response.

That and updating your PCM will add any improvements Ford Engineers have found recently. Your PCM is a computer and like all computers enhancements are needed to improve their performance.
