Default replacing front cv axle

So I tore my outter cv boot, and I bought a whole new cv axle. My question is, after I swap the axle do I need to get her aligned? BTW my truck is a 2005 xlt 4x4 with a 3inch level lift and was just aligned yesterday

CV joints have no affect on suspension geometry so no alignment is needed.

How did you get your CV axle replaced without removing the knuckle? Because once you remove the knuckle, which requires disconnecting it from the outer tie rod end and upper/lower ball joints, then you must have it aligned.

That's true if replacing those parts, but disconnecting them will not have an affect on the alignment.

Oh, I see. I was under the assumption that other parts were replaced. My mistake! Heh, I've been wrenching under the front end of my truck almost every chance I get for the past little while...
