How hard is it to change the lash adjusters and followers? Its my understanding that you have to "unload" the tension on cams by rotating them to a certain position. Do you have to use a spring compressor?
I did not use any kind of spring compresser because I took my cams out. The lash adjusters just pull out at that point after you take out the follower that sits on top of them. If using a valve spring compresser, be careful because there are 2 little half-moon retainers that hold the valve in place and are exposed as you compress the valve spring, so if using the compresser, compress a little, then reach in with your finger and kinda push the valve itself down some so that the retainers do not fully expose and release the valve. If you drop a valve, then you are pulling the head off to get it back. Good luck, we are here to try to help if you have any questions.

1. Make sure of your oil pressure before you disassemble. Low oil pressure means main bearings are bad. If you have low oil pressure you won't have a good motor there after without getting a reman.

Good advice, use a actual pressure guage, not the one in the dash, those read good at only 7LBs of pressure.
