Default Replace Door

I had an accident and wanted to know how to change the passenger side door. The old one is still on, but hanging on for dear life. Any help would be appreciated............

This will probably be a all day project at least. This is not something you can get step by step instructions and just follow, too many parts, but I can cover some basics. Remove the two screws at the very bottom of the door and the bolt cover for the inside door latch & nuts. Also pull up on the front of the pannel where you power locks are, this will just pop up then you can unplug the wires. Think you have to pop out and pull up on the pannel. There is a plastic air sheild that is glued to the metal under it. From here I would sugest taking pictures with a digital camera as you go so you can get all your clips and plugs back where they go. The main wire loom goes into the door, you will have to pull it back out of the door where the rubber seal is. Finally unbolt the hinge bolts from the door, don't pull the rod out of the hinge. You will probably need new hinges anyway so shouldn't matter. The new door will have to be "fit" to your truck, every door and body are a little different and will not seal properly from the get go. Slam the door on a rubber mallet to move the top or bottem corners out, the latch on the body can be tapped up or down a little, there is a bar you can buy, maybe rent, to move the whole door up or down. The hinges can be tapped to adjust the front gap. The trucks are a pain, they need to make them like the Escape doors which unplug where the rubber boot mounts on the f150 door, so you can swap out a whole door.

There is a guide in the how to section on this, includes a break down on the door. Lots of good pic, check it out.
