Default Removing Tailgate Badge

Hello everyone, quick question on emblems/badges. The F-150 badge on my tailgate finally started to flake the black off and I bought a new one to replace it. Should I do the old dental floss method or what?

I am interested in this too... just bought new ones myself and am trying to figure out the best way to do it. Here is a video I found on youtube about it.

I used fishing line instead of floss. But that's the way to do it. A little heat gun action will help soften up the tape too.

If you use fishing line, tie a simple knot every 2" and use it like a saw, using a heat gun or hair dryer will help as stated.

Yeah, I did mine yesterday. Used my heat gun and some fishing line. Unfortunately it was a pain in the a** because none of the adhesive came with it so I was carefully chiseling that off for an hour afterwards. Anyway...it's done!
