Removing adhesive from window visors
Took off my window visors yesterday on account of them "purpling" and getting tired of looking at the poor color combo. Got em off fine but the adhesive they used (from the factory/at the dealer or wherever ford puts em on) is a real pita to get off...don't wanna scratch the paint anymore than I have getting em off...any ideas or personal experience?
I keep a quart of "3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner" , part number 08984, in the shop just for these situations. Let it soak for 15-30 minutes and clean it off. It will not harm paint in any way. You can find it at any auto paint supply store.
