I was searching for the fuse box and found a remote starter under the dash. Of course it dosnt work but there's a little wire with a button comimg off it. What's it for?

 

Probably to disable it

 

I think some of the fords have a fuel pump shut off on the passenger side under the glove box somewhere. I know my 1999 Ford Explorer SUV had one. It accidentally got pressed & killed it until I figured out how to reset it.

 

Its prob the programing button . every remove start Ive put in has one
