I have a 2008 that has remote start. For some reason when I try it, the system will only honk the horn turn on the dash and stereo but will not actually start the truck. I have looked for fuses and found nothing, there is not even anything listed in the owners manual. The key fob is not the little remote start one. It's got lock, unlock a blue button with a key on it, panic, and a 1 and 2 button. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are your doors shut?

I know mine would do this if a door was open or slightly cracked open.

 

Yeah, the doors are shut. The e-brake is on if it matters or not.

 

My truck came with the aftermarket Ford system where you have to lock it, then hold the remote start button.

 

As I mentioned in another post we have similarily going on, does your PATS (red) light flash like mad? If so, it's not reading the chipped key bypass module thus the PCM has activated the security (won't engage the starter).
