What is the average cost to regear my truck to 4.56 gears it is 4wd

In 2002 IIRC I paid $550 for front and read 4.56s shipped to my house with basic install kits(truck was brand new so I didn't bother getting the complete install kit with bearings, etc....

A local shop then install the gears for $550 for a total of $1100. This was me taking the front axle out the truck and bringing him just the front axle. He did the rear with it in the truck.

That price was 13yrs ago so I would assume it would be higher now. From what I read lately it's roughly $750-1K PER axle(parts and labor)

Depends where you are and who does it.

Call around and ask the people that would end up doing it. They'll for sure know.
