Default recon third brake light problem....

I got the light maybe 18 months ago. First the white leds started flickering when I unlocked the truck, then they stopped working all together. Now the brake light doesn't work.

Anybody else have an issue with these lights? I like the way it looks, but don't want to waste the money if it's not going to last longer.

I was thinking of getting one of these, or a similar LED light from another manufaturer.

I would be interested to see if anyone elso is having the same problem, or a suggeted product.

Recon is said to be the best. I didn't install it, a local shop did. I'm going to remove it today and see if they messed it up, or I may go by there tomorrow so they can't say I screwed it up. Maybe they can replace it and deal with recon on warranty?

I don't have one from Recon but the one I have is all LED a row of clear LED and a row of red LED. Install was easy and never had a problem with it. Got mine for about $40 on ebay

90% of problems with LEDs are a bad ground, I'd tap into in and run a 2nd ground.
