Default Recon LED Tail lights

I received my Recon LED Tail lights today for my 07 F150. Being excited to see how they looked installed, I went to put them on and quickly found out that they were not "Simple Plug and Play" like they advertised on their website and the box the lights came in!!! Does any have Recon LED Tail lights on a 04-08 F150, if so PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Well i haven't done anything to them yet, i still have my factory tail lights install. But the factory plug is completely different from what is supposed to attach to the LED tail lights. The reverse light just uses old factory bulb...it just goes into the housing and locks in place, so i'm good on that

I'd send them back, complaining of mis-leading advertisment if they said they were "plug and play".

It sounds like you got the wrong ones for your truck. I bought these and they were plug & play, for the exception of wiring up the reverse which is shown in the install instructions. verify your part number on the box w/ the part number on their website.

I am sure that if you posted pics on here, some of us would be able to help you figure it out (especially if you dont want to go through the hassle of returning them).

Ok, I figured out what I was doing wrong. My first mistake was not opening both boxes (the instructions were in the box I did not open). Second, I thought I was supposed to completely unplug everything from the wiring harness. Third, I didnt ask a machanic, and I do not know a whole lot about lights. But after I talked with one and opened up both boxes and found the instructions and emailed Recon, I finally figured out how to install them properly.

Lights look good. How much did you pay for them and where did you get them?
