No the shop is just retarded/scared....Me and my buddy, Seanyboy08, put them on his truck almost a month ago. No problems whatsoever. We used black RTV. Taking down the headliner was the most time consuming part but was easy to do, we just took our sweet time. We followed the measurements on the How-To on this forum on where to put them on the roof. Came out great and we even dumped buckets of water on the lights 24hrs later to make sure they didnt leak before we put the headliner back up.

His are smoked but since they are on during the daytime, they look like the regular ones.

If you have a buddy to lend a hand just do it yourself...Follow the how-to and save yourself the money and hassle. That way you see you sealed them up right with enough RTV.

I also understand its only been a month but they are not leaking and unless something hits one of the lights, they arent going anywhere or letting H2O in.

I did some recon smoked cab lights on mine a couple weeks ago, th toughest part was drilling hole into my roof. Wiring was a piece of cake. It has been raining off and on here in Ohio and showing no signs of leaking.

Nice...and by 1 hr you mean 2hrs. haha. Especially if you are towards the end. I imagine you are almost done wiring and need to put back all the headliner pieces.
