Default rebuilt engine with p0022 and battery light

Just finished rebuilding a 2007 f150 ext cab 4 door 5.4 3v 4x4. Some parts were missing but have everything put together now.

A couple issues after the 1st test drive

The battery light come on Intermittently. Test at battery shows a charge of 14.6 volts while at idle with or with out light on. Checked for loose wires, swapped batteries, checked for bad cable and reconnected pcm still comes on randomly.

2nd after warming up I got codes
p0012 cam position retarded
p0022 "
p0340 cam position sensor circuitry
p0345 cam position sensor
p0349 "
p0356 ignition coil f primary secondary circuit

All timing chains, gears and cams, oil pump and pick up were replaced during rebuild. Also new bearings and pistons, rods, crank. I did not replace the VCT solenoid but ordered new ones should be here next week. The engine before rebuild was filled with shrapnel as 2 rods were broke from blown head gasket. Should probably put new VCT in during rebuild, my bad new to this engine.

Engine runs like a dream till it warms up, very smooth power and quiet. This weekend I will check for low oil pressure and check VCT solenoids in preparation for new ones. If VCT solenoids don't fix the problem I'll pull the front apart and check timing, I think the engine has to be rotated several times to line up marks again.

Any thoughts on check battery light fixes or timing issues will be appreciated,
Thanks

The issue may be on your driver side VCT solenoid.. Pull the one you got out and hose it off in some seafoam.. The screens may be blocked.. It's very easy to remove.. All you need is a t27 torx bit driver, use a 1 piece driver to be safe.. Might as well spray the VCT valve body down too, with seafoam deep creep and a long straw while your at it..
After the new solenoids are in, change the oil again. Run 5w-30 full synthetic instead of 5w-20.. It promotes better wear characteristics then 5w-20 IMHO.

The battery could be a loose connection you did not catch yet if its still coming on randomly.. Check the grounds at the starter, chassis, alternator and block. Otherwise, I'd suspect an intermittent alternator issue, prob from a bad diode in the regulator..
Have the alternator tested, at least 3 times if all your grounds are tight and clean. Watch the tach to see if the idle goes up when the battery light comes on. This will happen when the PCM tries to compensate for the load it thinks the alternator is under. If the idle gets higher, and not soon after the battery light shuts off, then you likely need a new alternator.

The vct solenoids don't look bad and the timing was right on. All the left and right parts are correct.
