Default Rear Shocks...

Another crazy question... I have a 2.5 leveling kit on my truck. I am about to replace the rear shocks on my truck with the Bilstein 5100s. If I adjusted them to 1 inch, would it raise the rear end an inch higher than the front or do I have to install blocks to raise the rear? Thanks in advance for your input.

I've got Bilstien 5100's on the back of my F150 (just put them on 6 months ago) and mine were non adjustable...? My fronts are adjustable with grooves to fit into the coil spring, but not the rears. I replaced my factory blocks in the rear from the 1.5" to 3" to gain my lift. I contacted Bilstien prior and they advised me the 5100's would still work with the 1.5" additional lift.

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought the rears were non-adjustable?
I could be wrong though... Does Billstien have adjustable rears?

I think I've misread your question. You have a 2.5" levelling kit and want to increase the front bilstiens by 1"? If so, the rear probably would be behind but with 3.5" on lift I'd imagine you'd destroy your front end pretty quick if you're running factory A-Arms.

In the rear it's not possible and they 5100s aren't adjustable for the rear shocks. To raise the rear you would either need to buy a bigger block and U bolts or a AAL!

What Chris said is what I thought... I was trying to think how the shocks in the rear could even lift it.

I looked at AAL but I decided to go to the blocks. I guess there's pro's and con's both ways but for me I was happy with blocks.

That just goes to show ya'll how uneducated I am about rear shocks. I knew the front were adjustable, I just assumed that the rears could be too. I think I'll just stick with what I got and just replace the rear shocks. Thanks for your input everyone!
