Default Rear Shocks

I was wanting to replace my rear shocks with a little better than stock setup for smoother ride offroad. I have came down to a couple different setups and wanted to know if anyone had any information on which ones are the best/worst to go with. Thanks in advance

1. Fox 2.0 Performance Series IFP
2. Bilstein 5100
3. Rancho 9000XL
4. Pro Comp MX-6

What is your truck set up now? is it stock or leveled etc. How serious off roading are you planning to do and are you only replacing the rear shocks?
If you do you plan on leveling your truck at any point? If so i would just bite the bullet and out the 5100's on every corner now, your already doing half the work. Even if your not they are still an awesome shock especially when you compare the price compared to the price of the MX 6. 4wheel parts is having a special on the Foxs' right now if price is something that will sway you. I have not heard a lot about those but im sure they are a good product.

*Edit* Were you looking at the monotube or reservoir MX-6. I only saw the reservoir at first thus my comment about the price

My truck is already leveled in the front. I just want a smoother ride on and off road. Each of those shocks I listed i found to run about the same price. The MX-6 that i was looking at would be just the mono's. The Fox shocks were the one that I would like to put on, just because I never heard one bad thing about Fox, but I have never heard anything about these 2.0's.

you couldnt see going wrong with the Fox, they definetly have a reputation to uphold. But as i said i dont have personal expirience with those, sorry but like i said 4wheel does have them on sale for $115 a shock i believe

I would definitely go with bilsteins over any other brand. Had them on my '04 f250 and they were great shocks.

If you have the money to spend, then spend it on the Fox shocks. They will outperform and outlast anything else on that list. Plus they are 100% rebuildable and revalvable. So you wont ever have to replace them. Theres a reason so many pro offroaders run them on high performance race vehicles.

(After re-reading this post it sounds like I work for the place, lol)

What is the part # for the rear 9000xl? I have a 4wd lariat with the rancho quick struts that level the front. I've look at the website and there are like 3 9000xl which one is the one that keeps the rearend the same height as factory?

Fox, King, or Swayaway piggy back if you're going that route. You won't regret investing the $$.
