Default Rear end chatter then CEL

On the way to school this morning the rear end felt like it didn't grab right when it revved to accelerate in cruise on a hill. It didn't downshift but stayed in 4th and then my CEL light came on. Turned the cruise off quickly and it seemed totally fine. Everything was fine even when I got in the lot. Revved it a bit and it seemed normal. Any ideas?

alright gentlemen i pulled a p0174 which is a system too lean (bank 2). I am running a 3.5 inch brute force intake and i rinsed the filter monday afternoon. I am almost positive that the code and rough idle (the "chatter" i experienced) and decrease power in o/d (with some chatter) is from the air to fuel running lean (obviously). Fortunately i have a gryphon on order with a 87 and a 93 custom performance. Until those are made ill run the level 2 tow tune which i read ran much richer and will be sufficient until i can get the custom tunes made (hopefully php will make my tunes a higher priority because of the symptoms i am experiencing). It just scares the hell out of me when my truck shutters like it does and i will be driving as little as possible. So anyways i bought some maf cleaner since that was the main cause of the code and i would imagine it needs to be done anyway since i can almost garuntee the previous owner did not clean it or the throttle body. My only question now is, will the maf cleaner be sufficient to clean the throttle body? guy as advance said it would be fine but i trust yall a 100 times more than that guy.

Alright so I guess my question now would be, will running it lean until I get my gryphon hurt the truck? And has anybody else experienced the check engine light before they tuned theirs?
