hi i just bought a 2005 f150 fx4. How do i know if i have the wiring for the rear dvd system?

 

is it a rail system .if it is and you can order a factory DVD for that year .it was pre wired up to the roof between the rails more to the drivers side if i can remember if you pull off a rail cover there is a square hole you can get a finger in it and find a wire with a jumper plug on it .

 

i went to the dealer and they dont sell the dvd or the wire i had to get the dvd off of ebay and i am trying to find the wire i looked in the little square hole and didnt find anything...

 

you cant see the wire but you can stick your finger in and feel it.the plug end will be near the opening.
was it a factory option for that year.
only some radios have the data to tell or work the dvd pre wired units with jumper plug.
if there is no wire there i would go aftermarket there are some for the rail system
